I believe every birthing woman deserves the support of a doula so please let me know if money is an issue.
PRE LABOR MEETS
The BIRTH DONE MY WAY MEET is a meet where we go through your birth plan and about informed decision making. We’ll watch an informative video that showcases the beautiful labor and birth of empowered and informed woman. We’ll also talk about your fears about labor and delivery and anything that’s on your mind about your pregnancy, childbirth, or after the baby arrives.
The RELAXATION & POSITIONING MEET is the most relaxing of the meets where mom gets to be pampered. We’ll go through breathing, relaxation techniques and positions that work for laboring women, and try them all out to see which ones you like the most.
The key to this meet is communication so your loved one and I know what you like. We’ll also work with some tools that might help assist mama with pain and positioning during labor.
These meets can be done together or separate depending on what works best for you and how much time we have before the baby is due to arrive.
BIRTH DAY
This is the magical day active labor begins. You’ll have had practice with breathing, relaxation techniques and positioning and hopefully will be confident in your ability to birth your baby.
I’ll meet you at the place of your choice, either at home or at the hospital.
I’ll encourage you and reassured you the whole way through your labor and delivery.
I’ll be a liaison between you and your health care team so they know what your wishes are.
We’ll use the relaxation tools and techniques, and positioning that we’ve gone through in our PRE LABOR MEETS.
I’ll take pictures of the parts of your labor and delivery that you would like.
After baby arrives, I’ll stay with you until you are all settled with your baby.
I’ll give extra assistance with breastfeeding support after birth and stay with you for as long as you need.
POSTNATAL MEET
After you are home, we’ll meet one last time to make sure mom and baby are doing well. We’ll go over your birth experience, and you’ll be given a copy of your babies birth story and a CD of any pictures taken during your labor and delivery.
At this time I can give support with breastfeeding if needed, along with answering any questions you may have about yourself or your baby.
After we say goodbye you are always welcome to call for support or advice at anytime.
