A postpartum doula is there to:

-care for other children while you rest or spend special time with your new baby. A
-support you emotionally and physically, and provide information when needed.
-aide and support breastfeeding or bottlefeeding.
-care your your newborn while you rest.
-help you have special time with your spouse so you can settle into your new roles and remember your love for each other.
-help with laundry and cleaning of your home.
-help organize so that you have the things you need when you need them including your own personal space to relax and rewind.
-refer you to information, groups and resources in your area that you might need.
Most of all though, I am there to support and serve you and your family by listening, and helping you adjust to the changes a new baby brings.
POSTPARTUM DOULA SERVICES INCLUDE:
COMPLIMENTARY MEET & GREET
I start with a friendly “complimentary” meet and greet that will help us get to know each other. This meet will also help me know what your wants and need are.
If after the meet and greet, you are happy with making a commitment to hire me as your postpartum doula, time will be set aside for you as a client and an agreement will be signed by both parents, and myself. A deposit will be taken to secure me as your doula for the agreed upon time.
POSTPARTUM
Your doula’s services can begin right after your baby is born in the hospital, or anytime after you come home with your baby. We can agree to have a set schedule of visits or arrange visits on an as needed basis.
Every family’s postpartum needs are different, so the agreement you make with me will be catered to your needs, whether you have one newborn, multiples, or a newly adopted infant.
"Postpartum doulas are hired to support the woman after birth, usually in the family's home. They are skilled in offering families evidence-based information and support on breastfeeding, emotional and physical recovery from childbirth, infant soothing, mother-baby bonding, and coping skills for new parents. They may also help with light housework, coordinate freshly made nutritious meals for the mother, and help incorporate older children. The terms of a postpartum doula's responsibilities are decided between the doula and the family" Wikipedia
